After 60 years of shaping places worldwide, BDP had become one of the industry’s leading global design and engineering practices. But as the brand grew, its story was getting lost and needed re-telling to fuel growth and meet the future head on.
After working with BDP's team to understand who they were, what they do and where they want to be, we helped them define a 'Brand Platform' that was flexible enough to both reclaim their place in the industry and offer a rallying cry for the company's future. That idea, was simply, that BDP were, and had always been, a true 'Built Original'.
As a ‘Built Original’, we encouraged BDP to show their renewed commitment to design in everything they produced – through a new brand system, language, emotional colours, and a refreshed brand book the whole team could own.
Perhaps the most vital part of this brand position was their new online presence – which needed to deliver all the brand thinking in one place.
The previous site carried with a it, a lot of disparate content that needed reframing, which we did with three simple themes: Think, Design, and Practice. Now there was a consistent and easily understood way to structure all the content in one place. Any team could easily see how to plug themselves in.
