End of show
For any student graduating in 2010, the last few weeks have probably been a particularly intense and anxious time, and especially for those studying in the creative disciplines. With work to mount, shows to hang, and portfolios to organise, the final weeks of the course are without doubt the most demanding. For Kraig Wilson, a friend of mine, graduating from the hallowed halls of the Royal Academy this summer marks the end of over eight years dedicated study of Fine Art. When Kraig asked us to design his graduation show catalogue we were both pleased and honoured to help out, if only to alleviate his workload a little. Working with a triptych of Kraig’s beautiful photographic images and text written by Artist and Researcher Owen Parry, the final piece was both sympathetic to the classical qualities and aesthetics referenced in his work whilst, in contrast, articulating the modernity and directness of Kraig’s character and approach to his practice.
