Something for the weekend

Our friends down at Yorkshire Artspace have an Open Studios event on this weekend. We’ve designed all the bits and pieces for it with a distinctly pink theme. Idea being two fold: 1. This year they’ve got a van parking up in Persistence Works housing a ‘sweet making performance’ by Sweet Theatre (hence candy pink) and 2. They wanted something distinctive but didn’t have a huge budget, meaning printing was limited to one or two colours. One or two colours always printed onto pink gives it all a nice coherent feel. Even the internal signage is printed in house onto pink paper (7 quid for 500 sheets from Staples… other stationers are available).

It was a real local arts affair, with Archipelago just down the road screen printing some of the brightest posters you’ll ever seen in your life. Find out more about Open Studios on the Yorkshire Artspace site
