Photographer Andrew Buurman has spent the last 3 years covering every square foot of Handsworth Allotments in Birmingham. Documenting the growers and their produce in an intimate portrayal of solace and seed sewing on the biggest allotment in the UK. I first met Andrew 2 years ago when we commissioned him to photograph a series of allotment pictures for the Saxton brochure we designed for Urban Splash. We liked his pictures so much we asked him if he would like us to design a book of his work, he said yes, and here’s it is!
Allotments will be released in October.
